    Jack- (My)- Fruit Smoothie! Have you tried it?

    I tried Jamaican Jack-Fruit for the first time

    Okay, so this is my favorite fruit smoothie at the moment! It is so yummy! This is so weird, but, it reminds me of this dessert I use to buy my babies called tutti-fruity (I hope I spelled that right,lol). Omg! How many of you mothers use to eat the desserts you fed your babies? No, just me?? Okay. Moving along! I’ve been hearing so much about this exotic fruit “jamaican jack-fruit”, and wanted to try it. I found it at a local farmers market out here in Atlanta and thought it was the perfect time for me to go all in! Checkout the video tutorial and list of ingredients below.

    List of ingredients:

    • 4 to 5 pieces of jack-fruit (bulb)
    • 1 whole white peach cut up into chunks
    • 2 red bananas
    • 1 handful of blueberries
    • 1 tablespoon of honey
    • 2 tablespoons of flax seeds (optional)
    • 1 tablespoon of soursop powder (optional)

     

    Jamaican Jack-Fruit benefits:

    Nutritional (per 100gms or 1 cup of serving)

    • Fat: 0.3 mg
    • Dietary fiber: 2-3 g
    • Protein: 3 g

    When unripe (green), it’s texture is remarkably similar to chicken. It has become an excellent vegetarian substitute for meat.
